This Fundamentals Programme provides theoretical and practical training in Heavy Equipment Maintenance. Trainees are taught to interpret work orders and technical manuals and how to keep equipment clean, lubricated and effectively maintained. Through a combination of workshop and on-the-job training, trainees are exposed to the skills required to diagnose faults and malfunctions, adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
Students are required to complete four 3-hour sessions per week, for 28 weeks.

Other fees may be applicable dependent on the programme.
All programmes include theory and relevant practicals.
Graduates will receive an NESC Competency Certificate which can allow for direct entry into NESC's 1 year Level II Programmes.
